Fire Warden/ Marshall Training

Course Information

This course enables persons with an enhanced fire safety role to meet legislative fire safety requirements and those requirements detailed by local fire safety policies. Accordingly this course can and will be tailored to specific needs and local emergency plans making it relevant to participants in their work environment. 

Course Syllabus:

•    Legislation 
•    Fire/ smoke behaviour
•    Identification of possible fire hazards in the workplace
•    Fire prevention measures and safety features 
•    Fire extinguishers types and their use
•    Role and responsibilities of fire wardens
•    Fire evacuation procedures (site specific)

Assessment:

Students will be assessed using a multiple choice test and a practical skills assessment

Participant Profile:

Staff members designated to act as Fire wardens/ Marshalls in the employers Safety Statement/ Emergency plans

  • A full refund will be granted if a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the booking.
  • If a booking is cancelled after 24 hours there will be a 50% charge and 50% of the booking fee will be refunded.
  • No refund will be granted if a booking is cancelled within 7 days of the course date.

Course Details

Objective:

  • Provide the student with a comprehensive knowledge of their role and responsibilities in a fire situation
  • Provide the student with the competence and confidence to execute an evacuation plan as per their local emergency plan
  • Students will have the ability to identify fire safety hazards to reduce risk
     

Duration: 3-4 hours

Qualification:

On successful completion of this course a 24Hr Training Solutions certificate of “Fire Warden” will be issued.
