Course Information
Programme Aim:
The aim of this course is to ensure that participants understand the importance of using correct Manual Handling techniques whilst providing the knowledge and skills to perform Manual Handling tasks correctly and safely.
Outline Syllabus:
- Manual Handling legislation
- Anatomy and Physiology of the back
- Common back injuries resulting from incorrect manual handling
- Biomechanics of manual handling
- Workplace ergonomics
- Hazard identification & Risk assessment
- Manual handling demonstration, practice and assessment
Participant Profile:
This course is a perfect match for you or your staff if the work requires or will potentially include the lifting or moving of loads. All staff who are engaged in manual handling tasks on a day to day basis should have the ability to do this safely for their own and the employers benefit. During this course we will cover everything you need to know in order for you to gain Manual Handling Certification. In addition this will assist the employee and employer in meeting the requirements of Health and Safety at Work regulations.

- A full refund will be granted if a booking is cancelled within 24 hours of the booking.
- If a booking is cancelled after 24 hours there will be a 50% charge and 50% of the booking fee will be refunded.
- No refund will be granted if a booking is cancelled within 7 days of the course date.
